Spiritist Education for a World in Transition
The TriState Spiritist Federation, in conjunction with the Spiritist Center A Caminho da Luz, is honored to present a the IX Spiritist Educators Workshop featuring the main theme "Education for the Transitioning World" with guest speakers Miriam Masotti Dusi and Janine Mattar on September 9-10, 2017.
Miriam Masotti Dusi is a spiritist, director for the Brazilian Spiritist Federation (FEB) and coordinates the National Department of Education for Children and Youth. Professionally she is a psychologist and has a Master degree in the field of Human Development. Miriam specializes in psycho-pedagogy and Gestalt-Therapy. She is a published author of the book "A Grande Viagem" for children and the coordinator for the “Sublime Sementeira: Evangelização Espírita Infanto juvenil”, published by FEB.

Janine Mattar is a spiritist since childhood. She grew up participating in the activities of the Casa Espírita Cristã in Vila Velha, ES, Brazil. Janine became a spiritist educator and active member of the spiritist movement at a young age. She currently coordinates the Child, Youth and family Education Department of the Sociedade Praiana de Estudos Espíritas em Vitória, ES. Janine is a teacher and has a master degree in Education.
"This will be a refreshing workshop for educators preparing for the start of the spiritist education classes starting in September as well for those who want to join this mission of love," -- Janine Mattar.
The workshop will present hands-on activities for spiritist educators. The workshop is recommended for educators, parents and those who would like to start working in the education department of a spiritist center.
"We are living in times of great challenges and Spiritism provides us with the foundation to help our children and youth, as well as their parents, to cope with these difficulties", said Cristina Cabral, coordinator of the Child & Youth Education Department of the A Caminho da Luz Spiritist Center and one of the coordinators or the Annual Spiritist Educator Workshops.

Saturday, September 9th - 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Saturday, September 10th - 8:30 pm - 4:30 pm
The A Caminho da Luz is located at 1 Padanaram Rd suite 143 - Peacock Alley, lower level.
The event will be presented in Portuguese with English simultaneous translation. Limited seats available.
